Leading US corporations intend to independently provide medical care for their employees
Corporation Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway and JPMorgan Chase declared that intend to create a joint structure to provide affordable health insurance for hundreds of thousands of their employees. This news led to fall in share prices of health insurance companies on US exchanges.
Reportedly, it will be formed a non-profit organization that will focus on “a simplified, high-quality and transparent health care” for about half a million of their employees in the United States. Now the search is conducted of the organization.
It is expected that this structure will be able to enter into contracts directly with manufacturers of medicines, doctors and hospitals, as well as better organization of work to reduce costs. Theoretically this will eliminate the “middleman” – a health insurance company.
