Another employee of the White house was forced to resign after allegations of domestic violence.
As reported by the newspaper The Washington Post, a speechwriter of U.S. President David Sorensen filed a letter of resignation after ex-wife accused him of “abuse and emotional aggression” during life together.
Sorensen himself has denied these accusations, stating that he was a victim of violence.
However, the White house confirmed the information about dismissal of the speechwriter.
“Even before we were approached by media, the night before we learned about these allegations, said Deputy press Secretary of the President of the United States, Raj Shah. We immediately approached the employee, who denied the charges, but today resigned”.
David Sorensen, formerly Advisor to Governor of Maine Paul Lepage, joined the US administration in the past year.
