International trade Commission opposed the policy of protectionism
International trade Commission, which considered the dispute between the canadian Bombardier and American Boeing, ruled in favor of Bombardier. The canadian manufacturer will have the right to sell their latest aircraft in the United States without paying high fees.
All members of the Commission came to the conclusion that the low price that sets the Bombardier on their aircraft series CSeries (narrow-body Airliners, medium-range) are without prejudice to “Boeing” (production aircraft in the same class as Boeing 737). Earlier Boeing was forced to lower prices on its planes, not to lose a price war “Bombardier”.
The U.S. Department of Commerce recommended a significant increase of duties on canadian aircraft, claiming that Bombardier uses state subsidies.
