Energy capacity environmentally friendly way, in 2015 for the first time in the history of the rose more than power generated using fossil fuels. This is evidenced by new data from the IEA

In 2015 the increase in energy capacity, the resulting organic way amounted to 153 GW, it follows from the report of the International energy Agency (IEA) mid-term market prospects of renewable energy sources. As noted by Bloomberg, 55% of the total increase of energy capacity in 2015, which means that the introduction of environmentally friendly capacity ahead of fossil sources of energy for the first time in history.

Environmentally friendly power as a whole grew by 15% in comparison with 2014, says the IEA. According to the Agency, the basis of the growth of “clean” energy sources wind (66 GW) and solar (49 GW) of the power plant.

Now there is a transformation of the global energy market oil engine which are renewable sources of energy, the “center of gravity” of clean energy is shifting to emerging economies, said the Executive Director of the IEA, Fatih Birol.

According to estimates of IEA, 2015 every day around the world was set at 500 thousand solar panels to generate energy.

According to the IEA, by 2021 the proportion of clean energy in the global energy mix will increase to 42%. In the electric power industry the share of energy obtained from environmentally friendly sources, will amount to 28% (in 2015, it was 23%), the Agency predicts.

A world leader in energy production from renewable sources, according to IEA, China will become — it will provide about 40% of the total growth of clean energy by 2021. In 2015, according to the IEA, China installed an average of two wind turbines per hour. Played its role and public pressure on Chinese authorities in connection with air pollution in Chinese cities. In the developed economies (EU, USA and Japan), according to IEA, the picture is different: in the period from 2015 to 2021 increase clean energy capacity will not keep pace with the growth of energy consumption.

Another leader in clean energy, according to IEA, India will be here by 2021 energy capacity generated from renewable sources will grow by 76 GW (the power obtained by the sun, will grow in 8 times). In India, the development of clean energy enjoys significant support from authorities for infrastructure development of solar energy plans to spend $3.1 billion, Prime Minister Narendra modi for 2022 has set the goal of increasing the energy capacity from renewable sources to 175 GW (now 45 GW).
