Several dozen Russian tourists can not fly to Moscow after a holiday in Thailand. About it RBC was told by the Chairman of the Collegium of advocates “starinsky, Cartago and partners” Eugene Cartago, which among other is in the airport of Bangkok. According to him, the airline Nord Wind was supposed to fly at 9:25 local time (5:25 Moscow time), but as of 21:00 GMT tourists were in the airport and didn’t know when will be the flight.
As told, Cartago and confirmed at Coral Travel, the problem is with the aviation regulations of Thailand, providing an opportunity to leave the country only if both flights (there and back) are the same type. They should only be only regular or Charter. Coral sold one-way tickets on a Charter flight and the other on a scheduled flight, explains a lawyer. In the end, tourists Travel a few hours spent in the bus 1.5 km from the airport, waiting for resolution of the situation.
Coral Travel, said that earlier problems with the flights of different types arose. “Since the beginning of November Nord Wind performs in Bangkok once a week a scheduled flight, the second time in a week Charter. As many tourists choose to stay a ten-day tours, their flights, “cross.” Until today the problems with “crossing” was not”, — said RBC representative of Coral Travel Marina Makarkova. Today, however, the aeronautical authorities of Thailand reported Nord Wind that tourists who arrived by scheduled flight, can not fly a Charter flight, she said, suggesting further issues to address with the airline. Nord Wind has not responded to a request to RBC.
Respondents RBC experts say that the ban on flights with different types of tickets (one for a Charter flight, the other regular) valid for a long time. “It is a known fact, everyone knows that there is a problem”, — told RBC Director of the Association “Turpomosch” Oleksandr Osaulenko. According to him, the problems with departure from Thailand arise from time to time, but usually independent travelers who don’t know the rules. For organized tourists is the responsibility of the operator who sold them tickets, said Osaulenko.
Head of legal Agency “Persona Grata” Alice Murtazaeva notes that stuck in Thailand the tourists are entitled to damages and in case of failure of the tour operator from pre-trial to address the issue of travelers can apply to the court. But, according to the lawyer, the tour operator will try to delay the payment of compensation in the hope that tourists will not come to court. However, compensation is unlikely to exceed 5 thousand rubles per person, added Murtuzaev.
