On the death of one of the pioneers of space research NASA announced
American astronaut John young, and twice to walk on the moon and participated in six space missions, died on Saturday 6 January at the age of 87 years. On his death said in his official “Twitter” National Agency on Aeronautics and space research (NASA).
The acting head of the Agency Rotert Lightfoot noted that John young has worked at NASA for more than four decades, and participated in the “Apollo”, “Gemini”, and also ran the first reusable spacecraft “space Shuttle”.
“John was one of the first space pioneers, whose courage and loyalty to the profession has inspired our country to great achievements in space,” reads the statement of the head of the U.S. space Agency.
