The head of SpaceX and Tesla Elon Musk has started negotiations with major music labels. According to representatives of some of them, he plans to launch its own streaming service, available to owners of Tesla cars.
Rumor has it that Musk is going to first introduce into the car’s multimedia system Internet radio, and then to develop the idea into a full-featured music service.
Now Tesla cars have access to the Internet and equipped with modern on-Board computer with a large display, but due to the lack of their own development, the company has to make use of musical development, by other companies. The transition to your own music platform would reduce the cost of the Tesla so the company can save on the royalties and on the need to pay for third-party developers the need to modify their applications for cars.
Now the owners of Tesla cars free access to Spotify Premium, but, apparently, in two years its use was not justified.
