To investigate the cyber attacks, which accused Russia, congressmen from the Democratic party proposed to create an independent Commission modeled on that which investigated the attacks of September 11, 2001

Members of Congress from the democratic party called for the establishment of an independent Commission modeled on the one that was involved in the September 2001 attacks, to investigate allegations of Russian interference in the elections of 2016, according to Reuters.

The authors proposed the adoption of “Law on the protection of our democracy” which would create an independent Commission of representatives of the two major parties of 12 people. The members of the Commission must not be members of Congress, the Agency said.

After the publication of information with accusations of Russian meddling in American elections, the Congress introduced several initiatives in this regard. High-ranking members of the intelligence committees in the house of representatives and the U.S. Senate said that the us intelligence report about the “Russian interference” in the elections of 2016 should provoke “a strong response” to prevent this in the future.

Republican senators Lindsey Graham and John McCain stated that he would submit to Congress a draft “seiberlich” of sanctions against Russia in connection with accusations of cyber-attacks. “I am confident that Congress will approve new sanctions. Don’t know whether the sign of their [elected] President of the trump. But if two-thirds of us will vote for it, they will become law,” said McCain.

After reading the intelligence report about the Russian intervention in the election of President Barack Obama in an interview to ABC said that was most underestimatedas misinformation and cyberslam may affect “open” us system. “I don’t think I underestimated him, but I guess I underestimated to what extent this new information age there is a possibility of misinformation, cyber attacks and other actions to influence our open society, our open system, by interfering in our democratic practices, making it faster,” — said the American leader.

The Ministry of internal security of the United States recognized the election infrastructure is “critical” that expanded the possibilities of the government to protect elections from attacks.

Unclassified version of the report about the “Russian interference” in the elections of the us intelligence service has published 6 Jan. It was alleged that U.S. intelligence has “high confidence” believes that the President of Russia Vladimir Putin ordered to launch a campaign of intervention in the US presidential election.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow is tired of accusations. “We have serious fatigue from these charges. It reminds in full-length the hunt for witches. We understand that our American colleagues at different stages were the kind of witch hunts”, — he told reporters.
