The President of Russia Vladimir Putin participated in the third regional forum “Russian popular front” in Yalta. For several days members of the onf and the state Duma deputies and representatives of regional authorities discussed the problems and prospects of development of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol. The last day of the “veterans” talked with the President.

Participants of the “Forum actions” and inhabitants of Crimea are primarily interested in environmental issues, infrastructure development and stable energy supply. The head of state said that it is first necessary to solve problems related to everyday life of people. While the money invested needs to bring maximum return.

The President thanked the Crimeans for calm and restraint shown during the blockade of the region from Ukraine.

— We know how many among Crimean, Sevastopol active people who care, to an active position, genuinely concerned, worried for the fate of the Crimea, for the fate of Russia in General. And the most striking proof of this, of course, the events of the spring of 2014, when people have determined their fate themselves decided where and how they want to live, — said Vladimir Putin. — Since carried out extensive and intensive work on integration of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol into a single legal, economic, and social space of Russia. It’s really difficult the work was. In a short time removed the issues of energy, water blockade of the Peninsula, a good pace of construction of transport crossing through the Kerch Strait. I hope that the approaches to the bridge, and all necessary related infrastructure will also be made qualitatively and in time, — said the head of state.

The first question the President referred to the problems, traditional for the Crimea, and for the country as a whole — the state and load of the highways. An activist of the Sevastopol branch of the popular front raised the issue of construction of two-lane road running from the bridge of the Kuban to Kerch. Insufficient number of bands, according to the activist, can lead to serious traffic jams. The President assured that in the end on a new track will be not two, but four bands, but while under construction, that number can’t be increased.

Another problem associated with the construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait, the resettlement houses in the construction area. The inhabitant of Kerch asked the President to take this matter under personal control. Vladimir Putin has assured that everything is under proper control of the head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov. But at the same time shared details of his recent visit to Kerch in September of this year. Under the Protocol, the region Manager shall conduct the President to the airport or to the helipad. However, Sergei Aksenov then asked the President’s permission not to follow the Protocol framework, as just at this time he had a meeting with the residents and immigrants.

Crimeans were also interested in the problems with electricity on the Peninsula. The President reminded of the recent blackout from Ukraine, calling the situation with limited access to Crimea water and electricity a “crime against humanity”.

— Take a large region where several million people live, and to cut off from electricity supply in the winter… we Have human rights organizations that clams, cat got your tongue silent, — said Vladimir Putin. — And in fact is a serious crime. But for those who did, this is so stupid. What did they expect? I just don’t understand. All will kneel and ask for handouts? It is simply surprising. Amazing idiots, the President said.

Discussed the national question. Vladimir Putin thanked him for the decree on the rehabilitation of repressed peoples, including the Crimean Tatars. With the entry of the Peninsula into Russia, the Crimean Tatars had the opportunity to solve the problem with the so-called self-acquisition of lands and property, and the Crimean Tatar language has become one of the state in the Republic.

First Deputy head of the presidential administration Sergei Kiriyenko after the plenary session with participation of head of state told reporters they were satisfied with the forum. According to him, he gladly talked to the activists of the popular front of various working groups.

— People command respect, — said Sergey Kiriyenko.

Before the arrival of Vladimir Putin on the first day of the forum, Sergey Kirienko had a meeting with the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov, former speaker of the legislative Assembly Deputy Alexei Chaly, black sea fleet commander Alexander Vitko and acting Governor of Sevastopol Dmitry Ovsyannikov. The negotiations were closed to the media format.

During the work of the thematic platforms onf activists also raised the issue that the medical equipment in health facilities on the Peninsula is very worn, and to work on more modern examples that come to clinics and hospitals, the medical staff lack the necessary knowledge and skills. The Minister of health Veronika Skvortsova explained “Izvestia” that the program of additional education for Crimean specialists have already been launched and is valid, and all issues will be resolved before the end of this year.
