Center under the Department of homeland security will unite the efforts of the state and the private sector
The Minister of internal security of the United States Kirsten Nielsen has warned that one should not underestimate the growing cyber threat, the fight against which the state and the public must work together.
Speaking on Tuesday at a forum on cybersecurity, Nielsen announced the creation of the National center of risk management in the office. In the centre is protecting energy companies, banks and other industries from cyber attacks. In the framework of the private sector and the government will cooperate to identify potential threats and protect against them.
Cyber attacks become increasingly sophisticated, therefore the fear is growing that they can cause serious damage to critical infrastructure and affect millions of consumers.
Last week the Department of homeland security reported that Russian hackers in the past year, received access management systems for large enterprises in public services. In addition, there are fears that Russia may intervene in the upcoming midterm elections.
