In recent years, more and more companies are becoming interested in augmented reality. But one of the most promising start-up Magic Leap, which for several recent years was conducted in the utmost secrecy. Enough large investors like Google, Alibaba and some other already invested in the project around 2 billion US dollars. And now the developers first showed off the hotly anticipated augmented reality glasses.

The system itself consists of three parts: Lightwear, Lightpack and Control. Lightwear is actually own augmented reality glasses, Lightpack is a computing unit with an integrated battery, which is attached at the waist. Well Control is a wireless controller to interact with augmented reality. In early 2018, the developers promise to release Magic Leap One (Creator Edition) – conversion kit for developers, with which you can start to create the first apps for the device. The kit will also be supplied SDK and all the necessary documentation.

Despite the first demonstration of the device, its specifications remain unknown, and to know we will be able not earlier than the developers will start sending out the first batch of Magic Leap One. However, some conclusions can be drawn already: apparently, glasses Lightwear will connect to the Lightpack wire. Glasses will support multiple modes of input: voice, gestures, head position and eye movement. The device will be able to overlay virtual objects in the surrounding world, and their position will remain unchanged when you move a user. As the developers say,

“The device will “hang” a virtual TV on the wall, and when you return later, it will be where you left it. For the projection of objects meets advanced technology that allows the human brain to naturally treat digital objects as well as real-world objects”.

According to the head of the company Rony Abovita, the gadget will be equipped with a separate on-Board graphics, and four built-in microphones, six external cameras and built-in speakers. The external view and grade the final version can be changed. The consumer version of the device will also be released in 2018.
