The representative of the Russian operator in comments to “Vedomosti” said that his company pays a special fee from the beginning of 2016. An employee of another company notes that the terms of cooperation with European mobile operators has changed in the summer. The sources say that after this, the call for Russian operators increased from €0.01 to€0.02 to €0.15 to€0,25.

To compensate, the Russian operators will have to raise prices for roaming in Europe, warn the interlocutors of the newspaper. According to the publication, the number of allowed calls in roaming minutes will be reduced, and the cost of the packages — to grow.

According to the calculations of the General Director of research company Telecomdaily Denis Kuskov, the costs of roaming additionally may exceed €150 million, the Head of the company noted that first and foremost changes in mutual touch options that allow roaming subscribers to receive incoming calls up to 40 minutes at 59-95.

Data on changes in settlements with European companies was confirmed by the representative of “MegaFon” Julia Dorokhin. According to her, the operator has updated the terms of cooperation for 2017. The cost of inter-operator tariffs for the company increased 10 times or more. This said Dorokhin, reflected in the cost of calls in international roaming.

In 2015, the European Parliament passed a law abolishing roaming charges in the countries of the Union as of 15 June 2017. For reimbursement, the European operators have increased the additional fee (surcharge) for companies operating outside the European Union for the completion of the call in local networks.
