President Barack Obama plans to make a farewell speech to the American people on January 10. The ceremony of appeals will be held in the hometown of the incumbent Chicago
Incumbent President Barack Obama announced his intention to address the nation’s farewell address January 10. The statement of the President published on the official website of the White house.
Last official address to Americans, Obama plans to make Chicago, Illinois.
“I see it as an opportunity to say “thank you” to all of you for this amazing journey, to note areas in which you changed this country for the better over the past eight years, as well as share thoughts on what direction we need to go further,” wrote the President.
He stressed that the tradition of the President’s address to the American people during the transfer of authority to the next leader began with George Washington in 1796 and for the past 220 years is stored all the leaders of the United States.
“Since 2009 we have faced many challenges and they made us stronger, because we never let go of the belief that has guided us since the founding of the United States, that we can change this country for the better,” said the us President.
The inauguration of the 45th President of the United States Donald trump will be held January 20 in Washington at the Capitol building. At the ceremony Obama will officially give powers to the Republican.
