Federal official and a source close to the presidential administration, told RBC that with high probability the youth will lead Svatkovsky — in fact, according to them, behind the scenes, the choice has already been made in his favor. Another Federal official agrees that the favorite — Svatkovsky, but, he stresses, should never be ruled out that the situation will change at the last moment.
He Svatkovsky told RBC that it should head Rosmolodezh “nobody came”: “currently my focus is on working in Nizhny Novgorod region: tomorrow take part in a field meeting in the stadium, which is being built in Nizhny Novgorod for the FIFA world Cup football, you plan to visit in Borskiy district, where built school and sports facilities, in the center of attention and the issues of drug supply in Nizhny Novgorod,” — said the official.
Political analyst Konstantin Kalachev believes that the appointment of the new head of Rosmolodezh will be made with an eye on elections in 2018: “At the head of the departments need people with good performing qualities, a distinct lack of personal ambition, able to work with different social environments and interact with a wide range of youth movements”. Before the power, the expert believes, the challenge is to ensure the loyalty of young people, engage them in socially useful activities, so that in 2018, the youth voted for Vladimir Putin.
