From 2017, the Net will provide complete statistics on alcohol market. Thus, the service will replace the not always accurate and selective data of Rosstat. This step will allow alcohol companies to accurately shape its plans for the development and marketing program.

The Federal service for alcohol market regulation (Rosalkogolregulirovanie, RAR) from the beginning of 2017 will itself be considered to statistics on market — manufacture and sale of beverages and then transfer to the Federal state statistics service (Rosstat). The latter will publish these data on their resources. This “Izvestia” said a source in the market.

The decision that a Net will gather statistics on the market has been made, about relevant unions declared at a meeting with the PAP, said the interlocutor of “Izvestia”. To do this the service will use the data obtained through the Uniform state automated information system (USAIS) from manufacturers, suppliers and sellers. It is an automated system for state control over production and turnover of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and alcohol-containing products. The system keeps track of both domestic and imported products.

The PAP said that will place the data into a Unified interdepartmental information-statistical system (Emiss). The latter is administered by the Federal state statistics service. Rosalkogolregulirovanie will open statistics on the volume of production and turnover of alcohol-containing and alcohol products, the volume of retail and wholesale sales. Statistics will be provided monthly, the orders of the government, which makes corresponding amendments for the collection of alcoholic statistics in the Federal statistical work plan.

Manufacturers of alcoholic beverages say that it is important to get accurate information about the market, which is not available. For example, the divergent data on production and sales — sell more than they produce. Thus, according to Rosstat, in 2014, it was sold to the population 895,9 million decaliters of beer in addition to cocktails to beer and malt beverage plus 56.5 million decaliters of drinks made with beer. Meanwhile, he said, producers are concerned the exact data about the market, for example in order to shape their production, a marketing campaign based on the data about the increase or decrease of market share of the company in the market.
