Russia and India signed an agreement to supply anti-aircraft missile systems s-400. The contract was signed after a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Narendra modi on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Goa
Following the meeting President of Russia Vladimir Putin and India Prime Minister Narendra modi in Goa on the sidelines of the BRICS summit, the sides signed a number of agreements in military-technical sphere.
In particular, signed an agreement to supply anti-aircraft missile systems s-400 “Triumph” and manufacture in the interests of the Indian Navy frigates of project 11356.
In addition, an agreement to establish a joint venture — Indo-Russian helicopter company for the production of Ka-226T, reports “Interfax”.
The holding company “Helicopters of Russia”, which is included in “rostec”, “Interfax” reported that the agreement with India would produce 200 helicopters Ka-226T for nine years.
A joint venture is created by holding together with Rosoboronexport and the Indian Corporation HAL. The first of 60 helicopters, said the holding will be produced in Russia, it is planned organization of production of 140 helicopters in India.
Also, the Russian direct investment Fund (RDIF) and the national investment and infrastructure Fund of India signed an agreement which establishes a joint investment Fund to $1 billion.
“We are creating a joint Fund to invest $500 million each to invest jointly with the Russian companies and the Fund in India,” — said General Director of RDIF, Kirill Dmitriev.
