US Ambassador to the UN, said that Washington will respond to the chemical attack in Syria regardless of the actions of the security Council
On Tuesday, Russia vetoed the US-proposed draft resolution of the UN security Council devoted to the investigation of chemical attacks in Syria.
Twelve member countries of the security Council supported the draft resolution, however, opposed this proposal, Russia has been joined by Bolivia, and China abstained.
For the passage of a resolution requires nine votes and no veto from the USA, UK, China, Russia and France.
“This resolution is the minimum that the Council can respond to the attack,” – said before the vote, U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley.
Before Hayley said members of the Security Council, that Russia and Iran could stop the “murderous destruction” perpetrated by the Syrian government, adding that the hand of Moscow “covered by the blood of Syrian children”.
“We came to the time when the world needs to see that justice is done,’ said Haley. – This moment will go down in history or as the fulfillment of the Security Council of their duties or as a demonstration of his complete inability to protect the people of Syria. In any case, the United States will respond to this”
