Pharmacies sales fell alcohol-containing medicines. Since the end of last year in volume terms, they fell by 26.5%, and revenue decreased by 28%. The decline in sales due to the lack of product on the shelves of pharmacies, caused, in turn, decrease the production of alcohol-containing medicines following the introduction of EGAIS for pharmaceutical manufacturers.
The head of the Association of Russian pharmaceutical manufacturers Victor Dmitriev told “Izvestia” that the drug manufacturers began to produce less alcohol-containing preparations. And pharmacies, in turn, less to buy — because of the introduction of restrictions on sale of alcohol-containing preparations.
The decline in retail sales is confirmed by the data of the analytical Agency DSM group. If in December 2016, it sold 33.2 million packages of drugs and alcohol by 2.6 billion roubles, in February of 2017 24.5 million packages of 1.8 billion rubles.
More than just “dipped” the sale of valocordin. In January 2017, they decreased by 35% compared to December and continued to fall in February, when the drop was 55%. In February, were sold only 302,5 thousand packages of 65.6 million rubles. For comparison: in December of last year sold 660,6 thousand packages of 1.5 billion rubles. According to DSM group, valocordin — alcohol is the only drug that consistently fall price: 222,5 of the ruble in December last year to 216,8 of the ruble in February 2017.
Also decreased the sale of tinctures of hawthorn and Valerian. In February of the current year pharmacies sold 40% less hawthorn than in December last. In December 2016 the proceeds from the sale of hawthorn was 30.3 million for 1.6 million bubbles. The least decline in sales affected the green fodder. It began to buy is only less than 9% in monetary terms: with 20 million to $ 18.3 million; and 12% in natural — packs of 861 thousand to 764 thousand Note, the average cost of a vial of green fodder from the end of last year has increased by 3.5%.
Decreased and sales of calendula (31% in real terms), aluminum (34%), iodine (40%).
The head of the Association of Russian pharmaceutical manufacturers Viktor Dmitriev explained that the decline in sales occurred due to falling production of alcohol-containing medicines.
— Our company (consisting of the Association. — “News”) alcohol-containing drugs generally do not produce. These liqueurs are so last century. After the government “tightened the screws” in all markets of alcohol: alcohol, pharmaceutical and perfume and it has become marginally profitable, — said Victor Dmitriev.
After the mass poisoning of people concentrate for baths “Hawthorn”, which took place in Irkutsk before the New year, the government restricted the sale of two vials of alcohol specimens in one hand, and limited the volume of container 25 ml.
Manufacturers of pharmaceutical alcohol, in turn, noted that the reason for the decrease in the production of alcohol-containing preparations can be the connection of rubbing alcohol to the system yegais from 1 January 2017. This makes it difficult certified alcohol and therefore sent to the manufacturers. In addition, because of innovations, there are additional financial costs.
— To equip one plant counter USAIS, required 3 million rubles. Because of the system of USAIS there were problems with certification. Now, after manufacture and before receiving the certificate should take at least 3-4 weeks. In many plants because of this there is a surplus of alcohol in warehouses. And as a consequence — the lack of alcohol-containing products in pharmacies — said the representative of CJSC “RFK” Vladimir Black.
As previously reported by “Izvestia”, in the past year alcohol drugs rose significantly — rising prices ranged from 5.5 to 45.5 percent. The producers also explained that the proliferation of unified state automated information system for medical products.
