Samsung Dex: as Galaxy S8 turns into a computer


In addition to the flagship Galaxy S8 and S8+, the presentation is Unpacked 2017, was shown docking station Desktop eXperience (DeX), transforming innovations in Samsung full computer. Dex turns your Android device into a full PC, allowing them to “comfortable to work in applications, edit documents, visit websites, watch videos and reply to messages on a phone using a large screen, keyboard and mouse,” the company said.

The docking station has two USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet interface, a USB Type-C, water dispenser and feature support Adaptive Fast Charging (AFC) to charge the smartphone.

Connecting Galaxy S8 to DeX, users will see the familiar Android interface that’s optimized for the big screen, keyboard and mouse. OS said to Samsung supports the display of multiple Windows of different sizes, context menu and a full desktop browser. Since DeX is primarily a tool for corporate users, the company has provided for full compatibility with Microsoft Office and mobile applications-including Adobe Acrobat Reader and Lightroom Mobile.

The company said that sales of Dex will start in parallel with the Galaxy S8 and S8+. According to unconfirmed reports, the dock will sell for 150 €, and in sale it will arrive in the second half of April.
