Finprombank included in the top 100 largest Russian banks by total assets, was declared bankrupt. In September, the credit institution lost its license due to the inability to satisfy the claims of creditors
The Moscow arbitration court at the suit of Bank of Russia on Monday declared bankrupt Moscow Finprombank included in the first hundred Russian banks by assets, reports “RIA Novosti”. The court opened in the Bank bankruptcy proceedings for a period of one year.
As stated at the court session the representative of the Central Bank, the provisional administration established that at the time of the revocation of the license of the Bank’s liabilities exceeded its assets by more than 23 billion rubles. the Interim administration has evaluated the liabilities of the Bank in the amount of 39.5 billion roubles, with net assets of approximately 16 billion rubles. the Bank has not fulfilled its obligations on payments for more than two weeks, said the representative of the Central Bank.
According to the Central Bank on September 1, Finprombank by total assets occupied the 94th place in the Russian banking system.
In September, the shareholders of Finprombank, among them businessman Musa Bazhayev, thinking about what to ask the regulator to cancel or revoke the license. They had to decide this issue on the October ballot, but on the 19th of September, the Central Bank withdrew the license of the Bank due to the inability to satisfy the claims of creditors.
One banking group with Finprombank also included Aymanibank, occupies the 150-th place in the Russian banking system by total assets. On 5 October the Bank of Russia withdrew the license of Imagebank, saying that the Bank lost capital due to the placement of funds in assets of poor quality and inadequate risk assessment.
