The death toll in the terrorist attack in Istanbul has risen to 39 people

Victims of terrorist who opened fire at a nightclub in the centre of Istanbul, according to the latest data, there were 39 and 69 more were injured. In total, the club had 600 to 800 people. The Russians among the victims

According to the interior Ministry of Turkey, the number of victims in a nightclub in Istanbul, where during the celebration of New year stormed a terrorist in a suit of Santa Claus, made up of 39 people. Another 69 victims received injuries of varying severity, according to the newspaper Hurriyet.

According to the Minister of internal Affairs of Turkey Suleyman Soylu, identified the victims among 16 foreigners. In the Consulate General of the Russian Agency “RIA Novosti” said that among the dead Russians there. “At the moment among the dead are no Russians. We are monitoring the situation and are in touch with the competent authorities of Turkey,” — said the Agency interlocutor in the Consulate General. Despite the fact that some media hours ago announced that the terrorist has been eliminated, the Minister has not confirmed this information. Soylu said that the search for terrorist continues.

Initially, it was reported that at a popular night club Reina, where the New year was celebrated from 600 to 800 men, was attacked by two unidentified men in suits of Santa Claus. However, later the mayor of Istanbul Wasip Sahin, who arrived at the scene, said that the attacker, the terrorist was alone.

For 2016 in Turkey, as a result of terrorist attacks killed at least 275 people, thousands more people were injured.
