The Russian foreign Ministry explained the accusations of Russian involvement in hacking attacks on American politicians “anti-Russian hysteria”

In the comments of Deputy foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Ryabkov said that the charges of involvement of the Russian side to the organization, “the alleged hacker attacks on American political institutions and individuals” is not supported by evidence.

According to Ryabkov, the evidence base on this issue “invented by those who are in Washington now performs an obvious political order, continuing to escalate to unprecedented anti-Russian hysteria”.

The representative of the Russian foreign Ministry also said that Moscow since the end of last year, the United States offered to hold consultations on the issues of combating illegal actions in cyberspace, however, the response from Washington has been received.

The administration of President Barack Obama has formally accused the Russian authorities in the cyber-attacks on the Democratic party of the United States. “We believe, based on the scope and sensitivity [hacking] attempts that only the most high-ranking Russian officials could authorize these actions,” — said in a statement, the Department of homeland security and office of the Director of national intelligence.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov has called the accusations “nonsense”. “[Russian President Vladimir] Putin’s daily attacked by a few tens of thousands of hackers. Many attacks are traced from the United States. We do not blame every time the White house or Langley (headquarters of the CIA. — RBC)”, — he said.
