The President of Moldova decided to hold a referendum on the extension of their rights

The President of Moldova Igor Dodon on 24 September appointed a referendum, which will discuss the possibility of expanding its rights. Citizens also will decide whether to cut the number of deputies and introduced in schools the history of the country. The referendum is Advisory, its outcome will not be binding

The President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, signed a decree on holding a referendum, which will consider the question of the extension of the powers of the President. He stated this during a press conference, reports the portal Newsmaker.

In a referendum citizens should answer questions, whether to give the President the right to dissolve Parliament and call early parliamentary elections, and reduce the number of MPs from 101 to 71.

Dodon offers to vote to consider whether to repeal the law on the transfer of stolen funds banks in debt. We are talking about the case in Moldova, when three Bank Banca de Economii, Banca Sociala and Unibank is not returned 13 billion lei (38.9 billion RUB), issued by the national Bank under government guarantees. Igor Dodon became President of Moldova in December 2016. He was in favour of closer ties with Russia. The President of Moldova is elected for a term of four years. Its mandate is the convening of Parliament, the message to him, the proposal of legislative initiatives and other functions.
