The Russian team put on “Kubatana” (Cybathlon) — first international competition for people with disabilities using high-tech assistive devices. Despite the short time for preparation and limited compared to competitors resources, four of the five submitted for the prestigious competition teams were able to reach the final, reported CNews in RVC.
The competition was held on 8 October 2016 in Zurich (Switzerland) and gathered more than 5 thousand spectators. Of the 25 teams who took part in the championship, the Russian was second in the number of teams from our country have participated five teams that challenged for the championship in five disciplines. Part of the Russian team in the competition has initiated a working group “Neuronet” National technology initiative (NTI).
