The head of state stressed Washington’s support for the European course of Chisinau
U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson has congratulated the government and people of the Republic of Moldova’s national holiday – independence Day, celebrated on 27 August.
“In the past (since Moldovan independence – G. A) 26 years, the United States supported Moldova’s aspirations to a successful European future characterized by respect for democratic principles, human rights and the rule of law”, – reads the statement of the head of the state Department.
“We, – it is spoken further in the document, is committed to providing Moldova with assistance in finding solutions in the process of resolving (problems) in Transnistria, which guarantees Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, including the special status of Transnistria”.
The Secretary of state Tillerson stressed the US desire to further develop relations with Moldova and for approval of the shared principles of democracy, security and prosperity.
