The U.S. Embassy in Islamabad has refuted the claim of Pakistan about the suspension of military and intelligence cooperation with the United States.
The Embassy spokesman Richard Snelsire said: “We have not received any official notification of the suspension”.
Earlier on Tuesday, speaking at the Institute of strategic studies in Islamabad, defence Minister of Pakistan hurr Dastgir Khan stated that there is “a wide range of areas of intelligence and defence cooperation, which we have suspended”. He added, however, that the supply routes for NATO forces in Afghanistan remain open.
