This was stated by Minister of foreign Affairs of Japan Fumio Kishida

During the forthcoming visit of Vladimir Putin to Japan will be announced the easing of the visa regime between the two States. As said the head of Ministry of foreign Affairs of Japan, Fumio Kishida, Moscow and Tokyo are considering these measures.

The diplomat noted that he welcomes the possible easing of the visa regime as a contribution to the development of relations and exchanges between Russia and Japan. This statement Fumio Kishida made during a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.

“With regard to easing visa system, we confirmed that, overall, the preparation is adjusted so that during the upcoming visit to Japan of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the parties were able to publish these measures, which each party considers”, — quotes “RIA Novosti” the statement of the foreign Ministry of Japan.
