Donald trump held a “constructive meeting” with the heads of the intelligence. At its end, he stated that any impact of cyber attacks on the elections did not have. It was expected that at the meeting, Trump will report on “the influence of Russia” in the elections
The US President-elect Donald trump on Friday, January 6, held a meeting with heads of us intelligence. In his statement following the meeting, he stated that any impact of a cyber attack on the outcome of the latest U.S. election did not have.
“While Russia, China, other countries and private groups and people are constantly trying to break through cyberinfrastructure our state institutions, enterprises and organizations, including the National Committee of the Democratic party, had absolutely no effect on the outcome of the election, and there was no hacking of voting machines”, — quotes Reuters the statement of the trump.
Elected President of the United States described the last meeting as “constructive”. He added that he intends within 90 days after taking office to create a special team to work out a plan for countering cyber attacks.
Three hours before meeting with the heads of intelligence trump gave an interview to the newspaper The New York Times. In it the President-elect said that “storm” of accusations of Russia’s attempts to influence U.S. elections is a “political witch hunt”waged by his opponents, disgruntled by his defeat in the elections. “Recently China has hacked 20 million of government accounts. Why nobody speaks?” — drew the attention of trump.
A day earlier held a meeting with the leadership of U.S. intelligence and U.S. President Barack Obama. It, as noted, Obama was presented a “secret report” about the”Russian interference” in the recent US elections. It was expected that the report will be submitted to Trump on Friday.
It is assumed that the public part of the report will publish before the next Monday.
