The President announced one of the upcoming performances of “On the situation in the country»
The US President Donald trump on Sunday welcomed the continued growth of the U.S. economy, stating that it “is in better condition than it (was) for many decades prior”.
“Business is returning to America like never before,” trump wrote on Twitter, referring to one of the likely themes of the report “the state of Affairs in the country”, which he will deliver on Tuesday.
“The unemployment rate is approaching record lows. We are on the right track!”–he wrote.
“Chrysler, for example, goes from Mexico back to the U.S.,” he said, somewhat exaggerated the plans of automobile companies to expand.
Company Fiat Chrysler, the eighth largest car manufacturer in the world, announced plans to invest billions of dollars into the production of profitable Ram pickup trucks in Michigan, moving production up from Mexico. The company does not intend to cut production staff in the Mexican factories.
The unemployment rate in the US remained stable at 4.1 percent in the last three months, which is the lowest rate in 17 years.
The US economy, the world’s largest, grew by 2.3 percent last year, which was the first year of trump as President. For comparison, the equivalent figure for 2016 to 1.5 per cent.
However, in the last quarter of 2017, the growth of the economy slowed, reaching 2.6 percent year on year, compared with 3.2 percent in the third quarter.
Positively assessing the situation in the U.S. economy, trump at the same time criticized rapper Jay Z, who in Saturday’s talk show has fallen with attacks on him in connection with vulgar statements addressed to the residents of Haiti and Africa, which allegedly allowed the President to try to limit their immigration to the United States.
“Somebody please tell Jay-Z that, thanks to my policy of unemployment among the black population recently reached the lowest level in history!”– trump wrote.
The unemployment rate among blacks in the United States fell to 6.8 percent, still above 3.7 percent among whites.
Jay-Z said the host of CNN’s van Jones that economic progress, which was felt by blacks, does not outweigh the attacks on trump country with a predominantly black population.
“Everyone feels anger, but after the anger gets really hurt, because he looks down on the whole population. And he is so ignorant, because in these places there live wonderful people said Jay-Z. – In the end it’s not about the money. Money and happiness are not one and the same. Not the same thing. They missed the whole point. We need to treat people as human beings.”
