The decision on inclusion of the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin and other Russian citizens in the so-called “Magnitsky list” — hysteria of the outgoing US administration. This was stated by the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin at a meeting with journalists on Tuesday.

“You need to ask yourself first and foremost, you need to answer to their constituents. When people are not supported, this suggests that the policy is ineffective. This suggests that the average voter wants stable relations with Russia and other countries,” he added.

The US administration has extended sanctions list of Russian citizens acting in the framework of the “Magnitsky act”. The American Ministry of Finance, in addition to the head of the RF IC, made the list of Stanislav Gordievsky, Dmitry Kovtun, Andrei Lugovoi and Gennady Plaksin.
