The speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin will meet with the head of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Pedro Agramunt January 12. The Chairman of the state Duma said at a meeting with journalists on Tuesday.
“I think the 12 of January”, — he answered the corresponding question.
According to Volodin, the Russian side intends to discuss the whole complex of accumulated problems in the relationship. The speaker also noted the importance of dialogue between the Russian deputies and representatives of PACE.
“We are for dialogue, we are for participation, are eligible to participate in the parliamentary Assembly, where deprived of the right to vote, it makes no sense”, — quotes its words “Federal news Agency”.
In 2014 and 2015, PACE adopted a resolution which deprived the Russian delegation of the right to vote at the session, as well as the right of participation in the statutory bodies and in monitoring the elections. Cause of measures, in the PACE called Moscow’s position on Crimea. The delegation of the Russian Federation decided not to send in January of this year required to confirm the authority documents.
