The Kremlin: to prepare for the meeting of the American-Russian summit is not conducted
“The President (trump) confirmed March 20, a few hours after his last conversation with the President (Russia) Putin, they discussed the bilateral meeting in the “not too distant future””, – announced 2 April, the press Secretary of the White house Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
According to her, as a possible place of meeting was called, in particular, the White house.
Earlier Monday, the Kremlin said that concrete discussions on the meeting of U.S. President Donald trump and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin is currently not conducted.
As stated by the adviser to the Russian President Yuri Ushakov, the meeting proposal was made by the President of the United States during the March 20 telephone conversation with Putin.
Later, the US sent 60 Russian diplomats and closed the Consulate in Seattle in connection with accusations of Moscow’s involvement in the assassination of former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter in the UK.
Russia gave a mirror response.
“Against the background of these events, of course, difficult to discuss the summit,” – said Ushakov.
“I would like to believe that [the discussion] will start, he added. – I hope that… we once in some time can go to the beginning of a serious and constructive dialogue”.
